Answers to common questions about StepsStreak.

Why isn't my step count updating?
StepsStreak reads data from Apple Health. Make sure you've granted Health access by going to Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → StepsStreak, and enable Steps under Read access. Then reopen the app.
Does the app work on simulator or only real devices?
HealthKit requires a real iPhone or iPad to return live step data. The simulator will always show zero steps.
What counts as completing a day?
Walking 10,000 or more steps in a single calendar day (midnight to midnight, local time) counts as a completed day and keeps your streak alive.
What happens if I miss a day?
Your streak resets to zero and the challenge ends. You can start a new 21-day challenge at any time from the app.
Does the app run in the background?
Background step delivery is not enabled in v1. Open the app to get your latest step count. Your steps are always recorded by Apple Health in the background — StepsStreak just reads them when you open the app.
Where is my data stored?
All data stays on your device. StepsStreak uses Apple's SwiftData framework for local persistence and reads step counts from Apple Health. No data is sent to any server.
How do I delete my data?
Delete the app to remove all StepsStreak data. To also remove step data from Apple Health, go to Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → StepsStreak → Delete All Data from "StepsStreak".
